About

Pune, Maharashtra

I am Krutika Deshmukh, an actor and theatre practitioner based in Pune, currently living in Mumbai. I hold a Master’s degree in Theatre from Lalit Kala Kendra, Savitribai Phule Pune University, where I was awarded a Gold Medal. With years of theatre experience, formal training in acting, clowning, and physical theatre, I enjoy exploring the relationship between the body, voice, emotions, and storytelling. My journey also includes playwriting, scriptwriting, and working as a lead actor in short films and commercial Marathi theatre productions. I am drawn to layered, emotionally complex characters, unconventional narratives, dark humour, and stories that reveal the contradictions of human nature. I love playing characters that challenge me, take me beyond my familiar instincts, and allow me to discover something new about myself and the world. I am keen to explore meaningful opportunities across Marathi cinema, Hindi cinema, OTT, television, and theatre, and to collaborate on stories that stay with the audience long after they end.
