We are looking for passionate filmmakers, actors, and creative minds who believe that extraordinary cinema is made through collaboration, creativity, and a shared vision — not just big budgets. GHANTA is an independent Hindi psychological drama exploring identity, dignity, consent, and human perception, written and directed by Rahul Pokharkar, an internationally experienced filmmaker with credits including Dune and Top Gun: Maverick. Our goal is to create a powerful, visually compelling short film for national and international film festivals.

Requirements

MAYA | Female Lead | Age 27–33 Maya is a confident, ambitious, independent urban photographer in her early thirties. Educated, articulate, and passionate about her work, she believes her camera can capture the truth of people's lives. But beneath her confidence lies an unconscious sense of privilege and vulnerability. When the camera is unexpectedly turned on her, Maya must confront the uncomfortable reality of being observed, judged, and exposed. **Looking for:** An expressive actress with strong naturalistic acting skills, capable of portraying subtle emotional transitions from confidence to discomfort and vulnerability. Fluent in Hindi with conversational English. **Performance:** Emotionally demanding, mature themes, and modest non-explicit wardrobe adjustments. No nudity. --- CHANDANI | Female Lead | Age 33–42 Chandani is a sharp-witted, outspoken, street-smart sex worker in Pune's red-light district. Fearless, humorous, and unapologetically herself, she possesses remarkable emotional intelligence and an instinctive understanding of human nature. Behind her playful sarcasm lies a woman with dignity, self-awareness, and quiet strength. When a photographer enters her world, Chandani challenges everything the visitor believes about beauty, identity, and power. **Looking for:** A fearless, expressive actress with exceptional acting instincts, natural Hindi dialogue delivery, and the ability to balance humour, boldness, vulnerability, and quiet authority. Familiarity with Marathi is an advantage. **Performance:** Mature subject matter, suggestive dialogue, and modest non-explicit wardrobe styling.
